Project: Replacement of existing walls of Cultural Centre in Aegean Island by CONETAN Walls

Wall System: Combined glass -block Panels with lightweight Concrete CONETAN WALLS.
Period of Construction: 9-18 August 2019
In the peak of the tourist period of an Aegean Island, that is between 9-18 August, the removal of the existing perimeter walls of a Cultural Centre and the installation of new ones had to be done.
The architectural design provided for glass block panels combined with lightweight concrete panels.
Concretan manufactured and installed CONETAN WALLS, sandwich components made up of high performance 1.5 mm thin facers incorporating core of 400 kg/m3 lightweight concrete with exceptional thermal conductivity factor.
The system, was purposely selected in order to overcome the problems of difficulty in transportation, zero availability of local resources and crowded construction site during the specific period.
The project was completed successfully, on time and within the budget.
